+ FAMILY SUMMERHOUSE IN NAVARRE 2013
Una familia numerosa que está repartida por todo el mundo durante el año, con residencia habitual en New York, hereda un terreno en la región de Navarra (España). En este terreno deciden construir una casa de verano para toda la familia, con espacios de reunión y a su vez con espacios independientes pero integrados; zona para los hijos y zona para los padres, donde la vegetación y el entorno juegan un papel primordial para el posicionamiento y forma del edificio. Dos grandes árboles modelan la casa, como los padres, dos grandes modelos a seguir. A partir de ahí un gran espacio central y de reunión, teniendo la chimenea como centro así como la cocina y el salón. A cada lado se encuentran las estancias: a un lado de los hijos y el otro de los padres, con salas de juegos y de lectura respectivamente. Estas salas son privadas pero a la vez se encuentran en el primer piso y dan al espacio central, estando "juntos pero no revueltos".
Ybarra is a large family whose members live near New York and others around the workd. They have inherit one large land in Navarra's region in Spain so they decided to build a family summer house in this land. The main goal of this house is to gather all the family members in one place so the house should have meeting spaces and independent spaces at the same time, with children spaces and other side for their parents. The vegetation and the nature surroundings are very important because they define the location of the building at its form. There are two enormous trees which determine the house, such as the family's parents, two big roles to pursue. The main space is sorrounding the fireplace which is in the center of the house. These are big and high spaces which are the living rooms, the kitchen and dinning room. There are in each side of this space both spaces for parents and childrens with their rooms. Also in the second floor there is a small living room for each side that looks to the main space of the building, where the family is "together but not in each others pocket".
